Acne

Acne is characterized by blackheads, whiteheads, red inflammatory bumps and cysts, and involves the face, chest and back. Acne is most common among teenagers and young adults but can extend later into adulthood. Acne is typically treated with topical medications and oral antibiotics. Other treatments include cortisone injections, isotretinoin, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser and photodynamic therapy.
